damn man, this place is a rough tumble

i did my stream this past week, over at @drossanova, with genuinely good intentions. which the people whose mutual understanding was of value to me, seemed to have received the message about. — a partial win is still a win, especially for such a dumb idea.

i created the @sillydata group, this group, and even invited some people that in the past i had avoidable gripes with, i just did it because for one day, for one moment it seemed like

then, in a single hour, over a conversation witha single person, that feeling goes away because of a silly misunderstanding that escalates even when you very explicitly state that you want to deescalate.

i'm sick of the option of deescalation being taken away. i'm sick of dialogue only happening when it happens to destroy, not to repair. destroying is easy.

and i am not griping with any one person or subcommunity in particular when I say this— but I'm sick of the powers that be that create the atmosphere i've described in this message. i bitch about it now, and I can't seem to repair it. no offerings to the community as free tools/services, no amount of good will will ever fix the following problem:
